Enroll in Our Fall Semester Mindfulness & Meditation Classes
In today’s world, it’s easy to feel pulled in too many directions — stressed, distracted, and disconnected. Meditation, mindfulness and qigong offer a way back to balance. At Northern Sage Kung Fu Academy, we offer classes that combine ancient wisdom practices of the East with an accessible and professional approach.
What a typical class includes
1.Full body warm up exercises
2.Moving Meditation Exercises: A graceful yet challenging sequence of postures from the Buddhist Shaolin tradition called the Eighteen Arhat Moving Qigong. These movements align, stretch and strengthen the body; improve circulation, develop energy, and cultivate awareness.
3.Seated Meditation Exercises: A series of profound practices called the Small Heavenly Circulation and Quiet Sitting that help you to slow down, regulate your breath, focus your energy, observe your thoughts without judgment, and reconnect with a deeper sense of presence.
This holistic approach to mind-body health provides a complete pathway to improved vitality and well-being suitable for all ages— strengthening the body, calming the mind, and opening space for authentic connection.
Benefits You’ll Experience
1.Build a Stronger, Healthier Body
Stretch and strengthen muscles, tendons, and joints. Improve posture, balance, and flexibility while supporting the health of your spine and core.
2. Support Your Organs and Long-Term Health
Stimulate the body’s lungs, heart, liver, stomach, colon, spleen, and kidneys. Enjoy smoother breathing, better circulation, improved digestion, and a stronger immune system.
3. Cultivate and Balance Your Energy
Learn to focus energy into your lower abdomen, the body’s natural energy center, and circulate it for vitality and balance.
4. Relieve Stress and Calm the Nervous System
Shift your body out of “fight or flight” and into “rest and restore.” Sleep more deeply, manage stress better, and feel more at ease.
5. Sharpen the Mind and Deepen Meditation
Reduce anxiety, improve focus, and clear mental fog. Moving meditation sets the stage for seated mindfulness, where clarity and presence deepen further.
6.Reconnect with Your Authentic Self
Move beyond stress and judgment to rediscover your natural state of being — calm, grounded, and present. Both moving and seated practices guide you back to your original nature.
